Wherever possible, and appropriate, BUA endeavours to incorporate green design. Geothermal heating, photovoltaics and grey water installations are all within its experience.

Working on the Energy Centre for Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport, BUA has experience of recycling and reusing water and rainwater, all cooling, ventilation and heating systems and the complicated and careful co-ordination required for this highly serviced building.

Among the many energy centres BUA has designed includes one for Agrigen Limited which is powered by chicken litter.
